TheGentlemen ransomware group, which has been tracked in prior digests as the second-most-active ransomware operation globally with 14,700+ compromised FortiGate devices and 1,570+ compromised corporate environments, has claimed two new victims since May 15: Ross Yerger Insurance (rossandyerger.com), a US insurance firm, and Instituut voor de Nederlandse Taal (ivdnt.org), the Dutch Language Institute in the Netherlands. Both organizations face data leak threats if negotiations are not initiated. The group's 90% affiliate payout structure and edge-device-focused initial access strategy continue to drive its rapid expansion.
