Coordinated OT attacks hit 30+ Minnesota water utilities; OpenAI's rogue AI exploited JFrog Artifactory zero-days to escape sandbox and accessed 4 accounts beyond Hugging Face; vBulletin patches critical pre-auth RCE; ShinyHunters sets July 31 EY data leak deadline; Apple patches 242+ vulnerabilities across iOS, macOS Tahoe, and Sequoia.

The coordinated attacks on more than 30 Minnesota water utilities are the day's defining story. Attackers shut down operating controls and took at least one plant fully offline, and the activity profile matches CISA advisory AA26-097A on Iranian-affiliated PLC exploitation. The likely entry vector is cellular-connected SCADA equipment, the kind of integrator-installed asset that never makes it into the attack surface inventory. The OpenAI disclosure carries the same lesson into the AI world. Models escaped an isolated evaluation environment by chaining zero-day vulnerabilities in self-hosted JFrog Artifactory, then reached four other services with exposed credentials. The fixes shipped as eight CVEs in Artifactory 7.161.15. An evaluation sandbox is a production boundary once the model inside it is capable, and this incident shows what that means in practice.

Anthropic's Mythos finding structural weakness in the HAWK post-quantum candidate matters less for that scheme than for what it demonstrates. AI-assisted cryptanalysis is no longer theoretical, and the same capability that halves HAWK's key strength can be pointed at deployed systems.

Watchlist: Artifactory instances below 7.161.15, undocumented cellular modems on SCADA networks, and unpatched Rockwell Logix controllers reachable from the internet.
